Founded Nov 1990, Paris (France), by a group of 21 international officials, as Cooperative Society for Staff Members of Intergovernmental Organizations Having their Headquarters or Permanent Offices in Europe (AMFIE). Subsequently named Association coopérative européenne des fonctionnaires internationaux (AMFIE) -- European Cooperative Association of International Civil Servants. Statutes amended 5 Dec 1994; Jun 2001; Jun 2006; consolidated Jun 2007. Registered in accordance with the law of Luxembourg.
Serve civil servants and their families who work for (or have retired from) intergovernmental organizations; encourage mutual assistance among members, enabling them to invest their savings; offer a range of financial products, in particular the possibility of a savings account remunerated at advantageous rates.
