Founded 31 May 1961, Tegucigalpa (Honduras), when started operations, following signature of Articles of Agreement, 13 Dec 1960, Managua (Nicaragua), by governments of El Salvador, Guatemala (Guatemala), Honduras and Nicaragua. Costa Rica became a member 23 Sep 1963. A financial institution of F-XF6292 - Central American Common Market (CACM). Statutes registered in 'UNTS 1/6544'.
Implement economic integration and balanced economic growth of member countries; finance projects to further these aims and develop trade in the Central American Common Market; support Central American free trade objectives; improve, expand or substitute agricultural activities to establish a regional supply system.
