12 Jun 1974, within the framework of D-XD4499 - Comité Intergubernamental Coordinador de los Paises de la Cuenca del Plata (CIC), at 6th Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the River Plate Basin Countries, on signature of an agreement which entered into force 14 Oct 1976; operations commenced in 1977. Also referred to in English as Financial Fund for the Plata Basin Development.
