The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

1962, by Inter-American Conferences Committee of the Organization of American States (OAS), in response to resolution A-10 of 1st Annual Meeting of the Inter-American Economic and Social Council (IA-ECOSOC), 22-27 Oct 1962, Mexico City (Mexico), and to the Declaration of the American People, 1961, Punta del Este (Uruguay).

Aims

Review labour situation and progress achieved in this field by member States; make recommendations on national actions and international trends towards greater participation by ministries of labour in growth of employment and attainment of social and labour progress.
