Set up following meetings convened May 1990, Aruba, and Nov 1992, Kingston (Jamaica), when Kingston Declaration was issued, endorsing and affirming a commitment to implement F-XF3051 - Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and Aruba Recommendations, D-XD3030 - OAS Model Regulations and the E-XE3748 - United Nations Global Programme Against Money Laundering, Proceeds of Crime and the Financing of Terrorism (GPML), and when the establishment of the Secretariat was mandated.
Achieve effective implementation of, and compliance with, recommendations to prevent and control money laundering and combat the financing of terrorism.
