1 Nov 2006, Vienna (Austria), by merger of H-XA1667 - International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU), H-XA3490 - World Confederation of Labour (WCL) and other independent trade unions, during inaugural congress. EU Transparency Register: 51806831589-68.

Promote and defend workers' rights and interests through international cooperation among trade unions, global campaigning and advocacy within the major global institutions.
