History

Founded by eminent intellectuals including Albert Einstein; Robert Oppenheimer, Father of Manhattan Project; Bertrand Russell, Joseph Needham, co-Founder of UNESCO; Lord Boyd Orr, first Director General of FAO; Brock Chisholm, first Director General of WHO and many others. Between 1974 and 1980, many activities conducted under the title World University of the Science.

Aims

Contribute to the progress of global civilization, enhancement of world order and realization of human dignity through transnational studies, operational projects, appraisals and recommendations; function as a world university to promote global higher education and a transnational forum for interdisciplinary discussion; establish foundations for a human-centred paradigm of global social development; examine social consequences and policy implications of knowledge.
