In 2022, facing the new challenges posed by Covid-19 epidemic, and adhering to the purpose of “Communication & Cooperation, Development with Concerted Efforts”, International Silk Union (ISU) maintained close contact with relevant government departments, industry organizations, enterprises and colleges, so as to serve the development of the international silk industry. There were Eleven aspects of work have been carried out in a targeted manner, making positive contributions to promoting the sustainable development of the silk industry.

KTO Hosts Forum Seeking Ways to Revitalize Local MICE Industry

-In Connection with 2030 Busan World Expo Bidding Efforts-

The Korea Tourism Organization (President Kim Jang-sil) held a ‘MICE Industry Revitalization Forum’ on December 19 at the Commodore Hotel in Busan, together with the Office of Representative Hwangbo Seung-hee of the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee and Busan Metropolitan City.

It is also a popular winter destination to Koreans who want to avoid the cold weather thanks to its location in the southern part of the country and its warmer winter climate. In addition, various activities and unique attractions can be enjoyed in the winter in Busan, doubling the fun of the year-end holiday. For instance, there are cooking classes where you can make traditional Busan dishes.

As we entered the era of a “new normal” in 2022, offline-only MICE events reached their limits and hybrid events were increasingly adopted, accelerating the digital transformation of the MICE industry.
