We were saddened to hear of the passing of Bernard Lietaer yesterday.
Lietaer was internationally known for his promotion of alternative currencies, the topic of his book The Future of Money.
He was also recognized for his work at the Center for Sustainable Resources in Berkeley.
We are grateful for the support he gave UIA as an Active Member since 2005.
We will miss him.

EFA welcomes Marcin Kacperczyk as Managing Editor of the Review of Finance for a three year term starting January 1, 2023. Marcin Kacperczyk is Professor of Finance at Imperial College London. He is past president of the European Finance Association and was Conference Chair of the EFA Annual Meeting in 2018.

The Korea Tourism Organization (President Kim Jang-sil) held a ‘MICE Industry Revitalization Forum’ on December 19 at the Commodore Hotel in Busan, together with the Office of Representative Hwangbo Seung-hee of the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee and Busan Metropolitan City.
