1 Nov 1997, Dominica, as Export Development and Agricultural Diversification Unit (EDADU) by D-XF4346 - Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS). Comprises the previous 'Agricultural Diversification Coordinating Unit (ADCU)' and U-XF3341 - Eastern Caribbean States Export Development Agency (ECSEDA). Adopted title Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States/Export Development Unit (OECS/EDU), 2000. Rebranded with current title, 2014.
Aims
Act as the primary sub-regional institution of the member states for the development, promotion and expansion of exports through the mobilization of technical and financial support for agri-business, services and manufacturing private sector; play an advocacy role to member Governments and Public Sector agencies.
