Aims
Influence agricultural and rural development policies so that it has a positive impact on the rural poor; facilitate the social capital development of smallholder farmers; develop the effectiveness of member organizations in helping the communities they work with to improve their livelihood and reduce poverty; stimulate farmer to farmer learning and inspire farmers to experiment and innovate in empowering ways; make development more effective and more equitable among, women and children, and for people infected with and by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, promoting such development by seeking greater cooperation between North and South; enhance the quality of the environment through sustainable development practices, with organic agriculture and minimal external inputs as key strategies.
