Founded Apr 1962, Buenos Aires (Argentina), at 1st Assembly of Industrialists of the countries of the then Latin American Free Trade Association (LAFTA), currently, since 12 aug 1980, Latin American Integration Association (LAIA).

Aims

Defend the principles of free enterprise and private initiative; promote Latin American integration and international cooperation to assist industrial development and the formulation of a common economic policy; promote trade; coordinate development activities of members and promote cooperation between them.
