Founded Apr 1962, Buenos Aires (Argentina), at 1st Assembly of Industrialists of the countries of the then H-XH0151 - Latin American Free Trade Association (LAFTA), currently, since 12 aug 1980, D-XD2879 - Latin American Integration Association (LAIA).
Aims
Defend the principles of free enterprise and private initiative; promote Latin American integration and international cooperation to assist industrial development and the formulation of a common economic policy; promote trade; coordinate development activities of members and promote cooperation between them.
