Promote and encourage integration of regional electrical sectors and their markets in South America, in order to achieve: greater efficiency of electric power companies in member countries; systematic interchange of information and personnel at all levels; technical cooperation and assistance; regional approach to project studies, with the possibility of establishing international electrical interconnections; orientation and coordination of studies and analysis; preparation of general purchasing procedures and technical specifications emphasizing regional acceptance; utilization of regional technical personnel for projects and studies.
