Jun 1994. Previously referred to as Coordinación Indigena Campesina de Agroforesteria Comunitaria (CICAFOC) -- Indigenous Peasant Office of Central American Community Forestry. In English also referred to as Central American Indigenous and Peasant Coordination Association for Community Agroforestry and Central American Indigenous and Peasant Coordinator of Communal Agroforestry.
Strengthen development of mechanisms to ensure governance, land tenure and management of natural resources, promoting local empowerment; develop, strengthen and promote processes of organic production through use of environmentally sustainable technologies tending to consolidate self-sufficiency, competitiveness, value chain and marketing towards the fair-trade market; focus on advocacy and cooperation in development of participatory strategies for management of resources, emphasizing on generational change and social equity.
