Coordinate among member countries improved methods of investigation, prevention, control and eradication of plant and animal diseases and of epidemics having international repercussions.

Comité Internacional Regional de Sanidad Agropecuaria (CIRSA) (meets annually) is the highest authority. Executive Director. Each member country appoints Technical Director on Plant and Animal Health, technical and administrative support, a Representative and an animal health and plant protection specialist.
