Mar 1983, London (UK), by U-XD1249 - Medical Association for the Prevention of War, UK (MAPW). Ceased to exist on merger with U-XF3523 - Campaign for a More Democratic United Nations (CAMDUN).
Aims
(1) Establish an expert group to study and investigate the proposal for a popular assembly subsidiary to the General Assembly under Article 22 of the Charter - the Second Assembly would be representative of the peoples of the world solely as human beings and members of the biological species that dominate Planet Earth (it would thus supplement the General Assembly which is representative of the peoples as citizens of sovereign member-states); (2) convene Conferences On A More Democratic United Nations (CAMDUN).
