1997, as Kampala (Uganda) Training Centre, by International Law Institute, Washington DC (ILI). Original title: International Law Institute - Uganda (ILI). Present name adopted Apr 1998. Registered in accordance with Uganda law.

Aims

Build Africa's legal infrastructure and engage in rule of law reform towards economic development; provide post-professional training and technical support in law, finance, project management and governance to institutions and professionals, particularly in the Sub-Saharan region, so that they can have the knowledge and experience to achieve practical solutions to their problems in ways that fit their own needs.
