Established 21 May 1962, Paris (France), by signature of an agreement between 7 countries: Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey, on the initiative of D-XD0435 - Council of Europe (CE) and C-XC3023 - OECD. Also known under the English acronym ICAMAS. Previously also referred to in Spanish as Centro Internacional de Estudios Superiores sobre Agronomia Mediterranea.
Promote multilateral cooperation in the Mediterranean in the fields of agriculture, food, fishery and rural territories through specialized training, networked research, scientific diplomacy and political partnership.
