19-20 Feb 1974, Saragossa (Spain), by E-XF3184 - Centre international de hautes études agronomiques méditerranéennes (CIHEAM), as a research group of E-XE3962 - Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza (MAIZ), in collaboration with Agrimed group of the European Community. Original title: Mediterranean Cooperative Research and Study Group on the Almond Tree. Current title adopted 1987, when joined by research group on pistachio. Previously also referred to as Mediterranean Group for Almond and Pistachio.
Make a shared analysis of problems affecting almond and pistachio crops in the Mediterranean area; conduct a common search for results; enable exchange of results by harmonizing methodology and applied techniques.
