31 Mar 1992, Caracas (Venezuela), within the framework of F-XF4530 - Sistema Económico Latinoamericano (SELA), with the purpose of creating the tools for the operation of U-XF3448 - Latin American Agency for Science and Business (ENLACE). Known also as: Bolivar Programme on Regional Technological Integration, Innovation and Industrial Competitiveness -- Programa Bolivar de Integración Tecnológica Regional, Innovación y Competitividad or Bolivar Programme - Programa Bolivar.

Aims

Promote technological, productive, financial and commercial integration among Latin American nations and integration of these countries with other regions of the world; increase competitiveness of goods and services generated in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Structure

General Assembly; Board of Directors; Executive Secretariat, with offices in Caracas (Venezuela). National Enlace Offices (ONEs) constitute the operational centres of the Programme. National Commissions bring together a multi-sector representation of the decision-making factors in each country.
