Founded 12 May 1975, London (UK), uniting: the former 'World Association for Christian Communication', set up 1968, Oslo (Norway), on merger of World Association for Christian Broadcasting (WACB) with the 'Coordinating Committee for Christian Broadcasting'; World Committee for Christian Broadcasting (WCCB), formed 1956, Königstein (Germany FR), by merger of Informal International Conference of Christian Broadcasting (IICCB) with a group of missionary societies; Agency for Christian Literature Development (ACLD), set up 1970. Most recent constitution adopted 1987. UK Registered Charity: 296073. WACC Canada registered 2006 and became a charitable organization, 2008: 83970 9524 RR0001.


Promote communication as a basic human right by working with those denied the right to communicate because of status, identity or gender; advocate full access to information and communication; promote open and diverse media.
