Founded by uniting: the former 'World Association for Christian Communication', set up 1968, Oslo (Norway), on merger of H-XH1762 - World Association for Christian Broadcasting (WACB) with the 'Coordinating Committee for Christian Broadcasting'; H-XH0114 - World Committee for Christian Broadcasting (WCCB), formed 1956, Königstein (Germany FR), by merger of H-XH1763 - Informal International Conference of Christian Broadcasting (IICCB) with a group of missionary societies; H-XH4268 - Agency for Christian Literature Development (ACLD), set up 1970. Most recent constitution adopted 2018.
Aims
Promote communication as a basic human right by working with those denied the right to communicate because of status, identity or gender; advocate full access to information and communication; promote open and diverse media.
