Since formalization of E-XE3879 - Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), 2-4 Dec 1995, Cotonou (Benin), an operating institution of 'La Francophonie'. Also referred to as Association internationale des maires francophones. Statutes adopted 1 May 1979; modified Apr 1982, Sep 1983, Jul 1988, Jul 1996, Nov 2004, Sep 2006, Oct 2007, Oct 2009, Oct 2010 and Nov 2014.

Aims

Through use of the French language, promote solidarity between municipalities by a greater exchange of information and experience and collaboration in municipal activities.
