Aims

Eradicate starvation in the world and ensure the basic rights to be free from hunger and armaments by securing decisions, laws and other measures for this purpose, inter alia, by mobilization of public opinion (the reference to disarmament in the name of the organization recognizes that issues of hunger and arms are both related to the maintenance of life; the principal objective, however, is to make hunger the main public issue and obtain the highest political priority for it at every level of decision making).
