1963, as European Committee of Metalworkers' Unions. Name changed, 1971, to European Metalworkers' Federation in the Community -- Fédération européenne des métallurgistes dans la Communauté -- Europäischer Metallgewerkschaftsbund in der Gemeinschaft. Took over, end 1994, the activities of U-XE2958 - Contact Office of Miners' and Metalworkers' Free Trade Unions in the European Communities. Ceased to exist, May 2012, on merger with H-XD5361 - European Mine, Chemical and Energy Workers' Federation (EMCEF) and H-XD0654 - European Trade Union Federation for Textiles, Clothing and Leather (ETUF-TCL), to become D-XJ7253 - industriAll European Trade Union (industriALL Europe).
