Founded 1979, Rome (Italy), at first Congress, by European members of U-XD1024 - International Group of Catholic Parents' Associations, following Colloquium, Oct 1977, Monaco. Statutes adopted 17 May 1986, Bonn (Germany FR). Registered in accordance with Belgian law, 21 Aug 1987. Original titles: Organisation européenne - Groupement international des associations de parents d'élèves de l'enseignement catholique (OE-GIAPEC) -- European Organization of the International Group of Catholic Parents' Associations -- Organización Europea de la Agrupación Internacional de las Asociaciones de Padres de Alumnos de la Enseñanza Católica. Previously also referred to as: European Organization of GIAPEC (OE-GIAPEC), as European Organization of the International Group of Associations of Parents of Pupils of Catholic Education and as European Organization - Parents Associations in Catholic Education -- Organisation européenne - Associations de parents de l'enseignement catholique. Current title adopted 2012. Ceased to exist prior to 2015.

Federate all associations of parents of pupils of Christian schools of Europe.
