9 Jun 1972, Brussels (Belgium), at the joint initiative of: E-XE0297 - COPA - european farmers (COPA); E-XE2922 - Conseil européen des jeunes agriculteurs (CEJA); E-XE0989 - General Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives in the European Union; and under the auspices of: E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC); E-XE0669 - European Economic and Social Committee (EESC); F-XF0667 - European Parliament (EP). Ceased to exist.

Aims

Study training and development questions in agriculture and rural areas; promote and coordinate national and Community initiatives in these sectors; in close collaboration with European authorities, stimulate implementation of measures to mitigate training delay suffered by farmers and rural areas; ensure diffusion of the European idea among farming and rural populations.
