History

Founded Jun 1997, Vienna (Austria), as Interuniversity Conference for Agricultural and Related Sciences in Europe (ICA) -- Conférence interuniversitaire pour les sciences agronomiques et les disciplines connexes en Europe, taking over the activities of U-XE1549 - Interfaculty Committee Agraria (ICA), set up 1988. Name changed, 1999, to Interuniversity Consortium for Agricultural and Related Sciences in Europe (ICA). Current title adopted 2006 to reflect activities relating to agriculture, forestry, food, natural resources, rural development and the environment. Registered in accordance with Belgian law.

Aims

Enhance members' success in the international market place, in Europe and globally, by providing a supportive environment to share experience, cooperate in new ventures and benefit from the resulting synergy.
