Teach artists, artisans and art educators how to work with sustainable resources. Conduct workshops and community projects throughout Central America and the Caribbean that attempt to address the following concerns: (1) Artistic - enable underprivileged students, artists and artisans to discover their talents and develop vocations with affordable, accessible and authentic materials; (2) Cultural - revive the use of traditional materials and cultivate a sense of appreciation regarding indigenous history and resources; (3) Environmental - encourage productivity ith appropriate local resources, reducing the contamination and cost entailed in the use of imported raw materials; (4) Economic - promote sustainable art-oriented businesses, especially in rural areas, and develop attractive, ecologically appropriate products for the tourist trade.
