1979, as Committee for the Caribbean, within the framework of G-XG1419 - Americas Society (AS). Name changed, 1980, to Caribbean Central American Action (C/CAA), which subsequently changed, 2003, to Caribbean/Latin American Action (C/LAA). Present name adopted 8 Dec 2003. Incorporated in the District of Columbia (USA).
Promote economic development in countries of the Caribbean Basin through trade and investment between private sector organizations in USA and Central American and Caribbean regions; introduce international investment, finance and aid to the region.
