The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

within the framework of Regions and Cities of Europe (RECITE Programme), as an outcome of work of the Medium-Sized Cities Commission of Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR). Also referred to as RECITE-IDEE. Ceased to exist.

Aims

As a European Cooperation Network, compare experiments in towns of different countries on achieving vocational reintegration into the job market for persons in difficulty, particularly young people and the long-term unemployed.

Activities

(i) Development of integration structures, in particular establishment of European Institute for Training Managers of Municipal and Integration Schemes, Kalamaria (Greece), and a European Fund, Chambéry (France), to support municipal enterprises offering employment. (ii) Training courses in the tourism sector and the media. (iii) Facilitation of information circulation and evaluation of work in progress, including annual evaluation seminar in Kalamaria (Greece).
