The joint implementation of the Project assumed by: H-XE4118 - Office of the United Nations Disaster Relief Coordinator (UNDRO); E-XE3060 - Pan American Health Organization (PAHO); B-XB2907 - International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Ceased activities Apr 1991.
Aims
Long term objective: contribute to the socio-economic development and environmental protection of the region by strengthening the individual and collective capacity of participating countries to reduce disastrous effects of natural and other hazards and cope efficiently with major emergencies and disasters when they occur.
