Founded 4 Dec 1996, Flensburg (Germany), by the Governments of Denmark and Germany and the German State of Schleswig-Holstein.
Aims
Promote high quality research, policy-relevant analysis, training and cooperation in the minority field; bridge the gaps between theory and practice, research and politics, mainstream politicians and minority activists as well as between different academic traditions through interdisciplinary theoretical and empirical studies that improve understanding of the dynamics of minority issues and promote new agendas in research and public debates.
