Founded following the congress of H-XD2761 - UNIPEDE - International Union of Producers and Distributors of Electrical Energy, and at the instigation of the 5th Conference on hydro-electric power, 1925, Grenoble (France) and of World Power Conference, 1926, Basel (Switzerland). Completely independent since 1967.
Advance the art and science of dam engineering; promote wise and sustainable development and management of world's water and hydropower resources.
