Previously also referred to as Réseau d'information sur la biodiversité inter-américaine -- Red de Información Interamericana sobre Diversidad Biológica -- Rede de Informaçôes Interamericana sobre a Biodiversidade.
Promote compatible means of production, collection, organization, communication and exchange of biodiversity information relevant to the advancement of science, improvement of decision-making and support of education.
