The meetings organized by international associations are many and varied, from world-wide congresses to regional assemblies. Without a doubt, the era of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) has arrived as a worldwide trend for sustainable growth throughout industries. Previously, businesses were mainly assessed based on their financial achievements but recently their ESG values are also being scrutinized more than ever by both stakeholders and consumers. This applies to the MICE industry as well.
Korea has recently successfully launched the satellite launch rocket Nuri and the lunar probe Danuri in succession. Based on these achievements, the country is securing a stronger global standing academically and technologically in terms of space science. Korea is also being recognized for its ability to attract relevant MICE events.
Located at the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula, the coastal city of Busan features diverse elements ranging from a world-class MICE infrastructure to mountains, rivers, and the sea, making it an optimal location to enjoy both business and pleasure. As a result, the number of bleisure and workcation visitors is on the rise, and Busan is making vigorous marketing efforts as Korea’s only maritime bleisure city.
