Serve as an international multidisciplinary forum for exchange of information on and advancement of ambulatory surgery; encourage its high quality development and expansion; promote education and research in the field and disseminate research results; establish guidelines and act as advisory body for development and maintenance of high standards of patient care; establish close relations with relevant organizations and stimulate development of national societies in the field.
