Established 21 Apr 1971, Bangkok (Thailand), during 27th Session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East (ECAFE), currently E-XE4177 - United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), following endorsement of principle by 23rd and 24th sessions of ECAFE, 1967 and 1968. Establishment agreement entered into force on 29 Mar 1972.
Coordinate, harmonize and promote activities of the pepper industry.
