The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

1982, Trinidad-Tobago, as Collaboration for Ecumenical Planning and Action in the Caribbean (CEPAC). Became functional in 1988. New name adopted 1996.

Aims

Participate in the educational process in the region, particularly in theological education for conscientization to complement the faith perspective of development.

Activities

Organizes or hosts international courses, workshops and fora, including Course for Lay Leadership Training (CLLT). Programmes include: Caribbean Alternative Responsible Tourism Project (CARTP). Maintains Idris Hamid Institute for Ecumenical Studies (IHIES), as a vehicle for education for conscientization.
