The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History
1977, as Association of the International Christian Youth Exchange in Europe (AICYE) - Association pour les échanges internationales des jeunesses chrétiennes en Europe, as the European Regional Office of E-XE3178 - International Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE Federation). Registered, Jun 1987, in accordance with Belgian law. Ceased to exist, 2011.
Aims
Promote within Europe the activities of ICYE; facilitate youth exchange in Europe, as a means of intercultural education and make participants aware of social, political and economic realities on European level, and its relation with the rest of the world.
