Founded as a Regional Centre of D-XD3257 - Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). The Centre is a reconstitution of the SEAMEO Project in Archaeology and Fine Arts (SPAFA), which has evolved from the initial SEAMEO Applied Research Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts (ARCAFA).
Raise awareness of cultural and regional diversity; promote professional competence and the preservation of cultural heritage in the region; strive to enrich archaeological and cultural activities in Southeast Asia.
