Founded as the NGO Club. Current title adopted, 1990. Registered within the National Olympic and Sports Committee of France, 1 Jul 2006.
Promote the broad spectrum of sport in Europe, raise its status and credibility and defend its common interests, independence and autonomy; increase cooperation within European sport and assist in improving sports development in member countries; support amateurism; develop democracy and promote equality between men and women in sport; promote sport as a factor of integration, a learning field for democratic principles and a preparation for personal discipline, performance and excellence.
