1980, within the framework of D-XD0063 - Arab Labour Organization (ALO). Commenced activities 1982. Ceased to exist, 1996, Tangiers (Morocco).
Aims
Collect, analyse and disseminate information on manpower and employment in the region, including migrant manpower; augment competence of manpower and employment planning bodies in Arab countries and secure fruitful exchanges among them; provide information to assist working out and implementing employment and training policies and movement of manpower among Arab countries; provide statistical data to serve vocational rehabilitation newcomers to the work force; establish a network of labour market information and a bank for human resources.
