The UIA is a leading provider of information about international non-profit organizations. The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).

History

Established within Trans-European Networks (TENs). Priority projects listed by E-XE7976 - European Council, Dec 1994, Essen (Germany). Executive Agency set up 2006, E-XE2442 - European Commission (EC), so as to realize the technical and financial implementation of the programme. Directorate-General Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) deals with all policy-making issues related to the programme with the Agency existing to execute the tasks with a limited duration. Succeeded by Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA), 1 Jan 2014.

Aims

Stimulate trade and social relations between the European Union and partner countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Southeastern Europe by supporting development of transport - road, railway, air and waterway - links and networks.

Steering Committee, which supervises TEN-T Executive Agency (TEN-T EA). Agency Units (4): T1 - Resources; T2 - Road and Rail Transport (operational unit); T3 - Air and Waterborne Transport, Logistics, Innovation and Co-modality (operational unit); T4 - Technical and Financial Engineering, GIS and Monitoring, Statistics. Executive Director's Office.
