History
Feb 1957, Rendsburg (Germany FR), on the initiative of Pieter Dijkhuis, as European Committee for Young Farmers' Clubs Federations. Subsequently changed title to European Committee for Young Farmers' and 4H Clubs (ECYF4HC) -- Comité européen des jeunes agriculteurs et des 4H clubs -- Comité Europeo de Organizaciones de Jóvenes Agricultores y 4H Clubs -- Europäisches Komitee für Jungbauern- und 4H-Clubs. Functions widened and name changed 16 Feb 1960, Edinburgh (UK). Current title adopted, 2004. Charter revised 1965, 1974, 1990, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2016. Builds on the work of U-XF1103 - International Four-H Youth Exchange (IFYE), set up 1948 to rebuild personal relations between young rural people from the USA and their counterparts in the rest of the world.

Create a platform for learning, developing and improving life for youngsters in rural areas.
