History

26 Apr 1966, Managua (Nicaragua), within the framework of Central American Common Market (CACM). Based on the Central American Telecommunications Agreement. Original title: Technical Commission for Telecommunications in Central America -- Comisión Técnica de las Telecomunicaciones de Centroamérica.

Aims

Coordinate activities and optimize exploitation of the Central American Telecommunication Network; approve improvement and expansion plans and supervise their execution; set and improve international tariffs in the region; elaborate regional and/or national feasibility projects; realize tasks needed to obtain necessary assistance for member administrations; assist regulatory members in training and harmonization matters; set other resolutions according to the Agreement and necessary to achieve its aims.
