Also referred to as Latin American Biosciences Network. As of 2004 "no longer active".
Provide appropriate access to complete reference information for researchers in the biosciences - general and molecular biology, biotechnology and medicine - by reinforcing existing information systems; coordinate efforts for regional complementation, thus avoiding duplication.
