1975, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), as General Secretariat of Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies, in the framework of B-XB2907 - International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, following proposals dating back to 1965. Also referred to as Federation of Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies, Federation of Arab Red Crescent Societies. Permanent headquarters first set up in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and subsequently moved to Riyadh.
Strengthen cooperation and coordinate efforts amongst national societies on regional and international levels in order to achieve the mission of the Red Crescent and Red Cross according to the fundamental principles of the international movement.
