1962, Paris (France). Structure modified: Oct 1967, Brussels (Belgium); May 1991, Stockholm (Sweden). Also known in English as: International Federation of Associations of Manufacturers of Maintenance Products; International Federation for Maintenance Products; International Federation for Household Products. Ceased to exist, Dec 1995, on merger with H-XD1360 - International Association of the Soap and Detergent Industry to form D-XD4941 - International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products.

Aims

Examine all questions relating to the industry concerned with maintenance and kindred products; promote common interests and knowledge of the industry by its members; seek collective solutions to issues of general interest concerning public health and the environment; further consumer information and education; liaise with supranational bodies in preparation and evolution of regulations, directives and other legislation which relate to members' interests; provide guidance for member associations; collect, exchange and circulate information.
