14 Sep 1979, as Standing Liaison Committee of Physiotherapists within the EC – Comité permanent de liaison des kinésithérapeutes de la CE. Ceased to exist, when merged, Sep 1998, with WCPT Europe (European Region of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy) to become European Region of B-XC3489 - World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT).
Promote the free movement and right of establishment in the European Union countries, the coordination of regulation under which the profession in practised, the reciprocity of physiotherapy qualifications and the coordination of professional legislation as it applies to physiotherapists; examine all matters concerned with the publication of EU directives, regulations, projects and all other decisions or proposals which may affect physiotherapists and inform the responsible authorities; promote liaison between and discussion with the EU/EC Liaison Committees representing other professions having interests in common with physiotherapists.
