1950, Brussels (Belgium), as European Young Christian Students (EYCS) -- Jeunesse étudiante chrétienne européenne (JECE). Current title adopted 1976. Has also been referred to as International Young Catholic Students - International Movement of Catholic Students European Coordination (IYCS-IMCS European Coordination) -- Jeunesse étudiante catholique internationale - Mouvement international d'étudiants catholiques Coordination européenne (JECI-MIEC Coordination européenne). Registered in accordance with Belgian law. Integrated into B-XB2825 - International Young Catholic Students (IYCS).

Aims

Be a platform of exchange and common reflection for the national movements; deepen the international dimension in the work of the national movements; promote reflection on Internationality in a social, political, economic, cultural and religious context and foster intercultural education processes; empower students all over Europe to participate self-responsible in political and social life and strengthen their commitment as actors in society; strengthen the ecumenical and lay engagement of young people in Church.
